upon leaving at 7:08 am, we promptly hit a rainstorm and hoped the clouds would keep traveling down to Tucson.
almost half-way there...
then we hit some sand dunes just past Yuma.
it felt like we were in Tatooine.
lunch and a nap
while me and Olive slept, dad and mom found a huge windmill farm!
an hour later, we reached the coast. we saw the ocean from the freeway, took the next exit in Encinitas, and ran to the edge of the water. even though it was cloudy and a bit chilly, we demanded our swimsuits so we could go and jump in the waves.
and then I got cold...
