last days of California

We walked to the ocean and snuck through an RV campground to climb down to the beach one day. we had lots of fun playing in the waves, snacking, and building sand castles. we were covered in salt and sand and didn't want to leave.

Olive was happy to just dig and pat, dig and pat, all day long.

a Corona would have hit the spot, dad said.

on mom's birthday, we went museum hopping in Balboa Park.  first, we went to the Science Center, and after that we found a place for a picnic.  then dad and I hit up the Natural History Museum while mom went to the Museum of Art with Olive asleep in the stroller. peace and quiet for all.

oh yeah, and i lost my first tooth in California !!
the tooth fairy found us anyway.

then we went back to a park we saw on the way in and mom and dad let us play to our heart's content.

juice boxes and all.

we even found a delicious Thai food place in downtown San Diego for a birthday dinner and promptly crashed in the car. it was a long (but a good fun) day.
