It was a whirlwind party - starting promptly at 3 pm. Parents were anxious to drop kids off and get on with their child-free evening (lucky!)
We waited for everyone, snacking on popcorn, and then headed to the field to play football and burn off some energy. When we got back, we played video games and mom went to pick up pizzas.
We watched Secret Life of Pets and yelled out requests for root beer and seconds and thirds. No one wanted any of the sliced red peppers (shock!)
The ladies got the couch and the boys piled onto an ikea mattress on the floor and we began to settle down.
We rose in the wee hours before 4 am to start playing more video games, but we stayed quiet and let everyone else sleep.
The parents didn't arrive until 11 am on Sunday morning, knowingly asking mom and dad if they "survived". Alone again, we had the video games to ourselves.
